Body Type Preferences
In short: Excluding obesity alone removes a large share of adults in several countries. Narrow “athletic only” preferences go further and are harder to measure cleanly in census data.
Key points
- BMI ≥ 30 is common in US adult surveys (~40%+ in recent years)
- Body-type labels are approximate — treat them as assumptions
- Combine carefully with height and income
FAQ
Does exclude obese use real data?
We use published obesity prevalence as a multiplier. Shape labels beyond that are calibrated assumptions.
